Bulgaria, introduction
Going to Bulgaria and seeing how the Communist system worked in the summer of 1979 was one of the highlights of my 1978-1981 European trip.
Many years later on different occasions I told Bulgarians in North America about my trip.
I can recall a few years ago I was telling this lady my Bulgarian anecdotes; we were on a Massachusets beach; she was with her husband and daughter; and so was I (with my wife and daughter).
As I was telling those stories, she was coming closer and closer.
My wife kept ignoring her the way she does it everytime a woman gets close to me. It's her strategy of dealing with the enemy that could possibly infiltrate our couple! :-)
One thing is sure: everytime I meet someone from Bulgaria, they'll hear those stories.
Since I stayed two or three weeks in Bulgaria, I don't have hundreds of Bulgarian Stories. Just a couple....
Here they are...
